come in all shapes and sizes, hopefully I’ve got most of the city venues listed here, plus here’s a summary of my favourites:

If you’re looking for compact live music venues, it's D all the way: The Doghouse, Dexters, Duke's Corner are the usual suspects in the city centre. Guaranteed to have a variety of gigs between them most weeks.

The Bond has regular live music, particularly blues, etc. Drouthys sometimes has gigs, popular with students. Reading Rooms is a worthy venue for alternative, club, dance, etc.

Fat Sams does regular live music.
